Who we are

Dedicated team of local residents

“We are a small dedicated team of local residents who want to build a great place to live.

We have local knowledge and contact built up through our dealings with developers, local council and managing agencies. These teams want to work with us and have demonstrated their commitment by the improvements we already see around the estate“

Member benefits

“Members benefit from the support of the residents association. When a member raises a concern we will spring to action, identifying who is responsible and then notifying them for a resolve. Each task is logged so we can follow up until a suitable resolve has been actioned.“

Important Information

What is the New Cardington Residents Association?

We are a team of local residents from all over the estate. We all brought our homes from the developers and pay towards the upkeep of communal areas as you do. We experience living here and understand the concerns local residents are likely to have.

Can I become a member?

If you live in one of the homes on any of the phases designated as "New Cardington" then yes.

What does membership give me?

Your valued membership is needed in order to enable us to act on behalf of the local residents.

As a member you will be able to use the experience, contacts and weight of the association. It maybe that a road drain is blocked or a path is disintegrating we will be there to act on behalf of the residents to make New Cardington a great place to live.

How much does membership cost?

We want to keep membership as low as possible therefore we need your help. You can talk about us to your neighbours and spread the word.

We have set a membership cost of £7.50 per year but you have the option to increase that if you feel you can help us more.

We think that's very reasonable for the amount of work we are undertaking.

What about our local council can they do this?

Our most local council is "Shortstown Parish Council" They are responsible for the whole of Shortstown where as we would concentrate solely on the New Cardington Estate.

We have met with the Parish Council and invited them to attend meetings with us.

We absolutely welcome any support the Parish Council can give us. No doubt our involvement is a great help to them too.
